Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a consultation?

Consultations are only required for those who have done previous semi-permanent or permanent make up on the eyebrows. DO NOT book a semi-permanent procedure before coming to the consultation, we will book the correct procedure at the studio during your consultation appointment. Please make sure you are booking your consultation with the artist you wish to do the procedure with. The $20 paid for the consultation will be applied to the procedure you decide to book. You can book a consultation HERE.

Are there any pre-care recommendations I should follow before my appointment?

Yes! Make sure to read all of the BEFORE and AFTER care HERE prior to your procedure. It Is extremely important to follow all of our suggestions to achieve great pigment retention and healing process.

What to expect from the procedure?

The semi-permanent makeup procedure can range from 1 to 2.5 hours. You and your artist will decide on the best technique, shape, and pigment to achieve the most natural and flattering look. A touch-up is scheduled the day of your appointment 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure. The touch-up appointment will only take about 1 to 1.5 hours. We will not achieve the best results with just one appointment!

How should I show up to the appointment?

If you are used to filling in your eyebrows with makeup, then you can certainly come as you would like! We recommend you coming in for an eyebrow design 1-2 weeks before your appointment If you are used to waxing or threading your eyebrows. We can not wax or thread the day of the microblading appointment, we only pluck or use an eyebrow razor.

What to expect from the healing process?

Everyone heals differently! The stages of healing can be scary. Your brows will be dark, maybe darker than you would like at first. About 24-48 hours later you may start noticing some scabbing. Do not pick at them! Once the scabs naturally fall off, the brows might look as if the pigment faded. Do not worry, after the first 6 weeks you will notice the pigment came back to a natural color. Follow the after-care instructions for a smooth healing process.

How long does microblading last?

Microblading can last between 9-18 months depending on how well you take care of your brows and skin retention. We recommend a yearly touch-up to keep the brows at its best!

Is the procedure painful?

Pain is relative. We use topical numbing cream before and during the procedure, most clients are very comfortable with all our services. Some clients say threading hurts more!

Is Microblading and Tattoo the same?

Instead of making a dark shade on the brows, microblading is when we hand draw individual hair-like strokes that look like your brow hair with either a microblading pen or machine. These strokes are only lighly made on the top layer of the skin, whereas tattoo ink is darker and penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin essentially lasting forever.

Can I do a allergy test?

Yes! Absolutely. You may come 2 weeks before your appointment and we will do a very small fine line on your thigh with the pigment we will use the day of the appointment. Please be aware that the eyebrows are a very sensitive area therefore minimal swelling, slight discomfort, and redness might happen a couple of hours after the procedure. Our salon has never experienced an allergic reaction to any of the products used. Test cost is $50.

Who is not allowed to schedule a procedure?

  • Anyone under 18.

  • If you have diabetes or high blood pressure that is not under control.

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • If you have glaucoma patients or taking blood thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, warfarin, heparin).

  • If you have skin diseases such as psoriasis or eczema.

  • If you have transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis.

  • If you have epilepsy.

  • If you have a pacemaker or major heart problems.

  • If you have done botox 35-45 days before the procedure.

  •

Will I bleed during a procedure?

Bleeding should not happen since we are working on the superficial layer of the skin. However clients who are more prone to bleeding or take blood thinners there may be a chance more than 1 touch-up is needed. There are things that you can do to minimizing the bleeding, please check the before/after care section HERE.

How do I get the perfect eyebrow shape?

Our face is not symmetric, so one brow might be different than the other. We will map your eyebrows by measuring the features on your face and marking. Only after approval we will continue with the shape drawn.

Does semi-permanent make up make my hair stop growing? No! Microblading should not effect natural hair growth. However, it can sometimes stimulate hair growth. The boost in hair growth can help create a more natural and fuller look. We believe that because we create a fine cute on the skin, that it can stimulate hair growth back to that area.
